RESEARCH INTEREST:

Carbon based Bills of Quantities – exploring its current progress and fundamental aspects. Towards the development of a theoretical framework that relates the BQ and sustainable construction. This interest has led towards the submission of an abstract to the International Conference on Architecture and Built Environment (ICABE) 2015.

Succinct Bills of Quantities – Reviving the contractor’s roles in the production and uses of the Bills of Quantities in the Malaysian construction industry. Research papers are currently being prepared for participation in conference in 2016.

COMMUNITY SERVICE:

Team member (2011), proposed rehabilitation and revival of aboriginal roles in Gombak district, Selangor. Part of ‘Multidisciplinary Project 1’, KAED, IIUM. Scope: Proposed development of land reserve for orang asli economic development in tourism.

CONSULTANCY:

Proposed construction and completion of Hotel and ancillary works at Jalan Conlay, Kuala Lumpur. Job scope includes preparation of estimates, Bills of Quantities and reporting of work progress on site. This consultancy work was carried out as part of on-job training programme organised by IIUM for academic staff.
